We had an amazing first week here at Lincoln Summer Camp. Here is an overview of all the fun .
In Sports and Games campers got a chance to try out Ultimate Kickball, Crab and Big Ball Soccer and Capture the Flag.
In STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) campers got a chance to start experiments with plants about what it would be like to grow things on Mars. Later in the week campers got to explore density by pouring liquids and making predictions about where they thought they would go.
Some campers also used all they learned about density to make LAVA LAMPS!
In Music and Drama campers created a thunderstorm, made rhythms, sang camp songs, and our older campers played musical charades. It was a great return for this special to Lincoln Summer Camp.
In Arts and Crafts younger campers made decorative fans, popsicle stick bugs, handprint butterflies, and paper plate frogs. Older campers got creative with patterns and designs making intricate swirl designs.
In Outdoor Education our older campers focused on learning the ins and outs of archery. Austin and Alexander got so close to a Bullseye!
Our younger campers worked on team building skills by playing Pool Noodle Hockey, and Pass the Doughnut.
At all our outside activities we always make sure that campers are taking breaks to apply sunscreen and get hydrated!
In Gymnastics campers of all ages took to the mats to challenge themselves in a variety of tasks. From climbing ropes, to balance beams, there was flipping, tumbling and swinging galore.
We also had several special events this week. On Thursday we had a wonderful dress up day. Harry Potter aka Skalar, won the costume contest and program director Joe and camper Brady got their HULK on.
Thursday was also our very first Lincoln Live at LSC. This variety show feature lip syncs, live singing, gymnastics, whole camp dancing and cheering, and a name that superhero theme contest! Check out the recap video below.
We ended our week with a Crazy Carnival at Camp while our Trailblazers were out winning big at Laser Craze. Check out some pictures of all the fun below.
