We can’t wait for another week of great trips! For all Pioneers, Ramblers, Crusaders, and Trailblazers this week, please remember to wear your camp shirt on Wednesday. They will be distributed tomorrow! Please be on the look out for the bright orange shirt and a purple backpack.

Pioneers – Grades K & 1

On this trip campers will travel to the Stone Zoo. Stone Zoo is a medium sized zoo of about 26 acres in Stoneham, Massachusetts. It features a wide variety of animals from alligators, to jaguars, to falcons! Campers will get an up close look at all the wildlife while exploring the Himalayan Highlands and the Treasures of the Sierra Madre. Learn more at http://www.zoonewengland.org/stone-zoo/exhibits

Please keep in the mind the following for this trip:

  • Please pack your child a disposable lunch.
  • Like everyday, please make sure your camper packs a water bottle and sunscreen. It is going to be a hot one on Wednesday!

Ramblers – Grades 2 & 3

Featuring thousands of Lego bricks and numerous challenges to complete campers will have a fun filled day of building. Learn more at https://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/boston/

  • Please make sure your camper is wearing socks for this trip

Crusaders – Grades 4 & 5

On this trip campers will travel to a water park. Water Country has something for everyone! Thrill seekers are challenged by the breaking waves and speed slides. Others can relax in the sanctuary of Adventure River, swimming pools, and shady lounge areas. Please keep in the mind the following for this trip:

  • Please pack your child a disposable lunch
  • Please make sure your camper is wearing his or her bathing suit and packs a towel. He or she might also like to bring a dry set of clothes to change into before the trip back.
  • Pick Up will be at 4:00

Trailblazers – Grades 6,7 & 8

home_logoWednesday, July 6th- On this trip campers will travel to Six Flags Amusement park in Springfield, MA. They will spend the day riding some of the coolest rides in our region, from Batman the Dark Night, to Goliath, to Mind Eraser, there is no shortage of thrills at this park. Campers will also be able to visit Hurricane Harbor water park, so if he or she might want to pack a bathing suit and towel.

Please keep in the mind the following for this trip:

  • In order to provide campers with ample time in the park we will arrive back at camp late. Pick up will be at 8:00pm 
  • We will be at the park until 6:00pm so your camper might want to pack extra snacks or bring extra money to purchase dinner before we depart.
  • We are asking that campers do wear their camp t-shirts for this trip as it is helpful when keeping track of our group at a larger park.
  • Campers will have choice of where they would like to go inside the park, but must make sure to check in with counselors frequently. If your child does not carry a cell phone, please make sure they have a watch so that they can be sure to make check in’s on time.

Teams of 3-5campers literally move through the Quests tackling a variety of mental and physical challenges. Success in the first challenge means entry into the next challenge and so on… Failure in any challenge means starting over or selecting another Quest. Boda Borg is Reality Gaming; that means real people, trying to physically survive there life-like Quests: no video games, no special equipment, no virtual reality…just eager Questers…just like real life. Please keep in the mind the following for this trip:

  • If your camper is going on this trip click here to fill out a waiver. It must be completed online before we go.
  • Please have your camper pack a disposable lunch as we will go for a picnic after our quest. 
  • Pick Up will be at normal dismissal time: 3:00pm  
  • Closed toed shoes must be worn on this trip. 

logo-1Friday, July 8th- On this trip campers will travel to Jay Gee’s Fun Center for mini-golf, bumper cars, go karts, and an arcade. Campers will have a blast enjoying both indoor and outdoor activities. Learn more at http://jaygees.com/

  • Please pack your child a disposable lunch
  • Pick Up will be at normal dismissal time: 3:00pm  
  • Campers will be provided with tokens but can purchase more if you send them with additional money.
