Trailblazers Camp Update

Hello Trailblazer Camp Families,

While we always advertise that trips are subject to change, we know that campers sign up for, and look forward to particular trips on our schedule. Sometimes changes are unavoidable, like a last minute rain storm that forces a change of trip, and sometimes despite the best efforts of our directorial team, trips and venues fill up, and where they was once space suddenly there is none.

This was the case with our Red Sox Trip. We tried in earnest to work with them but the original offer to us was rescinded as the team’s popularity went up and large blocks of seats were no longer available.

We are pleased to announce that for that week of camp, July 25th-July 29th, we have booked a new and exciting adventure for campers to Take Flight Aerial Adventure Park in Kittery, ME the largest in the state. This trip will take place on Tuesday the 26th. Screen Shot 2016-07-08 at 12.07.51 PM

The trip will be followed by an overnight adventure back on our Lincoln Campus, complete with a cookout, campfire, stories, s’mores, and flashlight tag!

The next day campers will head off to the Kimble Farms for mini golf, bumper boats and an arcade.

Finally on Thursday 7/28 Campers will travel to Water Country. Water Country has something for everyone! Thrill seekers are challenged by the breaking waves and speed slides. Others can relax in the sanctuary of Adventure River, swimming pools, and shady lounge areas. To learn more about their attractions follow the link below. https://www.watercountry.com/things-to-do/attractions

However because we know that campers may be disappointed about not being able to attend a game with their friends, we will offer a full refund to any family whose camper would prefer not to attend because of the change. Please contact Lincoln Parks and Recreation  Office Manager, Laurie Dumont at ldumont@lincnet.org to facilitate the refund.

Additionally this year, last minute staffing changes unfortunately left us with many of the Trailblazers trips unconfirmed. We have been working hard over the past two weeks to hammer down a final schedule and are pleased to present it below.
