On this trip our campers will set out on an amazing scavenger hunt. American patriots fought the British there, famous writers walked and talked there, and now we will hunt there. The kid-friendly, very walkable streets make for a delightful hunt, as our team will search out historic homes, charming stores, memorable monuments, and more. As we walk in the footsteps of Louisa May Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Nathaniel Hawthorne, we’ll discover the place where Thoreau spent a night in jail, a famous “lost” statue, secrets involving slaves, an 18th-century tavern, a great place for snacks, and a “misplaced” piece of the Old North Bridge, where the Revolutionary War began.
