Week five will feature some old favorites and some new adventures for LSC! All Pioneers, Ramblers, and Crusaders: please remember to wear your camp shirt on Wednesday. They will be distributed tomorrow if your campers has not already received one this summer! Please be on the look out for the bright orange shirt and a purple backpack.

Pioneers – Grades K & 1

Just Face_4C_eyeOK.jpg On this trip campers will travel to the Discovery Museums in Acton. The Discovery Museums is comprised of two buildings on a 4-plus acre campus.   At the Children’s Discovery Museum, younger children (toddlers through early grades) learn while they play.  At the Science Discovery Museum, children and adults of all ages explore scientific concepts and hands-on creativity. Our campers are the perfect age to have a fabulous time learning and exploring in both museums. Learn more at http://www.discoverymuseums.org/

Please keep in the mind the following for this trip:

  • Please pack your child a disposable lunch and water bottle
  • Campers should wear sneakers.

Ramblers – Grades 2 & 3

On this trip campers will travel to Coco Key indoor water park. They will spend the day splashing in wave pools, sliding down slides, floating in rivers, and rushing through obstacle courses. Learn more at http://www.cocokeyboston.com/

 

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Campers need to pack a bathing suit and towel
  • Campers need to pack a disposable lunch and water bottle

Crusaders – Grades 4 & 5

For this trip campers will travel to Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire, New England’s premier family amusement park with over 85 rides, games, live shows and attractions. They will spend their day flying down rides, like Boston Tea Party, Untamed, and Starblaster and splashing around in Castaway Island. For this trip please keep the following in mind:

  • Please pack a disposable lunch
  • No extra money is required but if your camper would like to play games or purchase snacks you may send it.
  • We will arrive back at camp at 4:00 pm  for pick up.

Trailblazers – Grades 6,7 & 8


Tuesday, August 2nd

Mount_Monadnock_as_seen_from_Bald_Rock

On this trip campers will travel to Mt. Monadnock in Jaffrey, NH to test their endurance as they work to reach the summit. Amazing views and personal victories await campers on this trip as they work as a team to accomplish their goal!

Please keep in the mind the following for this trip:

  • Sneakers are a must for hiking the mountain
  • Campers should pack a backpack – not a tote bag or drawstring bag – as both make it difficult to climb
  • Please be sure your camper is wearing sunscreen
  • Campers should pack a disposable lunch and 2 water bottles in their bags
  • Pick up will be at 5:00 pm

 Wednesday, August 3rd

On this trip campers will  travel to Breezy’s Waterslides in Douglas, MA. Breezy’s features 3 300ft water slides as well as a lake for swimming. Campers will also be partaking in special Camp Color Wars competitions while at the picnic grounds.

Please keep in the mind the following for this trip:

  • Campers need a bathing suit and towel
  • Campers should wear sunscreen
  • Campers should pack a disposable lunch and water bottle
  • Pick Up will be at 4:00 pm

 Friday, August 5th

On this trip campers will travel to a Merrimack Valley Pavilion in Tewksbury, MA for a day filled with Laser Tag, Mini Golf, and a ropes course. They will then return to camp in time to take part in the final Color Wars competition.

 

 

Please keep in the mind the following for this trip:

  • Please pack your child a disposable lunch
  • Extra money is not required but can be used to play games in the arcade or to purchase food from the snack bar
  • Pick Up will be at 3:00 pm
