Drop-Off & Pick-Up are in the same location as last summer!

Arrival

Campers can begin arriving at 8:45am. Camp programing begins promptly at 9:00am. When arriving at camp in the morning camp staff will direct you to either enter the camp drop off lane (marked in white on the map below) or to park in the Codman Pool Parking lot (marked in yellow). You might choose to park if you would like to speak with staff or prefer walking your child to his or her group. Groups will be meeting in the Brooks Gym aka The Arena . If you enter the drop off line you will be following the circle in front of the Brooks Gym. Staff will be waiting there to open your car door and help your campers out of your vehicle. You can help this process move smoothly by having your camper sit on the passenger side of your vehicle. If you enter the drop off line you must stay in your vehicle at all times. If you need to get backpacks out of the trunk, or forgot to apply sunscreen to your camper, or just need to give your little one an extra hug goodbye, we are happy to have you park but, for everyone’s safety, we cannot allow you to get out of car once in the lane.  When campers are out of the car, staff will walk them to their respective groups.

If your child is entering the Trailblazers Camp, he or she may be dropped off at the Trailblazers Lounge, located at the end of the Hartwell A Pod (shown in red on the map above). We cannot allow parking in this lot because our neighbors at Magic Garden and Lincoln Preschool are operational during the summer. So, if you need to speak with staff or prefer to walk your camper in, we ask that you park in the Codman Lot (marked in yellow on the map) and follow the trail to Trailblazers Camp. This trail can also be used by Trailblazers who have younger siblings that will be dropped off in front of the gym so that you can make a single stop.

If your camper is arriving by bus to camp the bus will enter the drop off lane and counselors will meet the bus to take campers to their groups. For bus schedule details please contact the Lincoln School METCO office.

Dismissal

New this year to Lincoln Summer Camp are our Camp Pick Up Cards – These will be available to pick up in the Parks and Recreation Office starting on Monday the 26th and will also be handed out as you drop off campers on their first day of camp. The cards (seen below) allow staff to quickly identify that you are authorized to pick up a camper and allow them to have your camper ready for you when you enter the pick up lane or park and come to the gym doors. If you have more than one camper, you should write all of their names on one card.

Each family will receive two cards but you are more than welcome to ask for more.

Dismissal begins at 3:00 pm. Please display your Camp Pick Up Card on the dashboard of the drivers side.  Anyone who you wish to pick up your child must be listed on the Camper Release form and should be displaying the Camp Pick Up card. If they do not have the card they must be able to provide photo identification if requested. Children still at camp after 3:15 pm will be placed in our Extended Day Program and a fee will be charged. If parents need to pick their child up before 3:00 pm, they should make arrangements with the Camp Directors in advance.
