Welcome to Week 3 – Camp Goes Wild

Welcome New Families and Welcome Back Returners!

We have another great week of fun planned at Lincoln Summer Camp as we head to the jungle as Camp goes WILD!

Here are a few other things to keep in mind:

  • All campers should come to camp prepared to swim! This means wearing or packing a bathing suit and towel.
  • We will spend a great deal of time outdoors, so sunscreen is a must! Please have your camper come to camp with sunscreen already applied and more sunscreen packed in their backpack for reapplication. Remember, if you would like counselors to be able to assist your camper, you will have needed to indicate that on campdoc.com or filled out the physical form, available here.
  • Campers need to be able to carry their belongings throughout the day. Please keep this in mind when selecting and packing their bag.
  • There is time for a morning snack and lunch at camp. These are NOT provided. Please pack your child with nonperishable items; we eat a picnic-style lunch.
  • Campers in grades K-5 will be provided with a camp t-shirt before Friday’s field trips.
  • Campers should arrive at camp with a full water bottle that can be refilled throughout the day.
  • We want to remind you that we have two options for arrival and dismissal. You may enter the drop off/pick up line and staff will help your child in and out of the car. If you need to get out of your vehicle for any reason including getting bags out of your car, helping a child get buckled into a car seat, or just to give your little one an extra hug goodbye, we ask that you please park in the lot next to the gym and walk your camper over. This means that many of our Pioneer Parents will probably need to park to ensure their campers can get strapped in and out of the car. This helps us keep our pickup and drop off line moving and prevents dangerous maneuvers from taking place in the line. A full description of our arrival and dismissal procedures can be read in the parent handbook. Do note that Trailblazer Camp has a different drop off and pick up location.Screen Shot 2017-06-17 at 10.04.12 AM
  • imgresThursday is Animal Dress Up Day! From the sea, to the forest, to the sky – let your imagination hit new heights as you dress up as an animal. In past years we have seen an octopus, a turtle, a cow, and even a squirrel. What crazy critters will descend on camp this year? We can’t wait to see! For a full calendar of events visit the home page.

  • slice_PT_cheese.pngWednesday and Thursday are also Pizza Days! Forget the hassle of packing a lunch and grab a slice from us. Pizza will be on sale for $2 for 1 slice and $3 for 2 slices.

  • If your camper is going on this trip a waiver must be completed online. Fill it out here
  • Please have your camper pack a disposable lunch.

  • Pick up is a 6:00 pm for this trip

home_logoThursday, July 19th- On this trip campers will travel to Six Flags Amusement park in Springfield, MA. They will spend the day riding some of the coolest rides in our region, from Batman the Dark Night, to Goliath, to Mind Eraser, there is no shortage of thrills at this park. Campers will also be able to visit the Hurricane Harbor water park, so if he or she might want to pack a bathing suit and towel.

Please keep in the mind the following for this trip:

  • In order to provide campers with ample time in the park we will arrive back at camp late. Pick up will be at 8:00pm
  • We will be at the park until 6:00pm so your camper might want to pack extra snacks or bring extra money to purchase dinner before we depart.
  • Campers should pack as light as possible. Six Flags has cumbersome bag policies that slow down campers and prevent them from riding as many rides as they like. We at Lincoln Summer Camp are bringing additional staff with us to help ease this burden, but the lighter your camper packs the easier it will be.

Screen Shot 2018-04-16 at 11.12.07 AMFriday, July 20th –Boundless Adventures is an aerial forest high ropes course consisting of more than 130 platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood, and rope to form bridges and zip lines. Groups of bridges link together to form separate trails. Although every trail has zip lines on them, you will need to climb to get to them. There is much more fun than just zip lining to be had! There are 7 trails in total and each trail has varying difficulty level ranging from beginner to expert. The experience is safe, fun and most importantly exciting!

Please keep in mind the following for this trip:

  • Closed toed shoes (sneakers) must be worn
  • If your camper is going on this trip click here to fill out a waiver. It must be completed online before we go.
  • Please send your camper with a disposable lunch.
