Arrival
If your camper is taking the bus to camp, it will be picking campers up at 7:45 am at the Franklin Park Zoo. When the bus arrives at camp it will enter the drop off lane and counselors will meet the bus to take campers to their groups.
If you are driving your camper to camp, staff will direct you to either enter the K-5 camp drop off lane, the 6-9 camp drop off lane, or to park in the Codman Pool Parking lot. You might choose to park if you would like to speak with staff or prefer walking your child to their group. K-5 Groups will be meeting in the Brooks Gym and 6-9 Groups will be meeting in Hartwell A-Pod. If you enter the K-5 drop off line you will be following the circle in front of the Brooks Gym. Staff will be waiting there to open your car door and help your campers out of your vehicle. You can help this process move smoothly by having your camper sit on the passenger side of your vehicle. If you enter the drop off line you must stay in your vehicle at all times. Once campers are out of the car, staff will walk them to their respective groups. If you enter the 6-9 Trailblazer and Trailbreaker drop off line in the Hartwell lot, staff will be there to greet your campers when they get out of their vehicles. Pathfinder, Trailblazer, and Trailbreaker Campers, may bike or walk to camp independently if you so choose. Please email us at directors@lincolnsummercamp.com if your child will be using this option as we need to have their plan in writing.
Dismissal
If your child is taking the bus home, the bus will leave camp at 3:00 pm and arrive at Franklin Park Zoo at 4:00 pm. Please make sure your camper checks out with the bus monitor before heading home with you or another care giver that is picking them up.
Caregivers picking up at camp should arrive at 3:00 pm and will be directed by camp staff to either enter the K-5 camp pick up lane, the 6-9 camp pick up lane, or to park in the Codman Pool Parking lot. Please display your Camp Car Card on the dashboard of the driver’s side – this will allow our staff to quickly identify you and we will have your child ready to go when you enter the pick up lane or park. If your child is unable to independently buckle themselves in to the car, we ask that you park as to not hold up the pick up line. Please make sure any persons you wish to authorize to pick up your camper are listed on the Camper Release form in CampDoc and have a Camp Car Card to display. Anyone picking up campers must be able to provide photo identification if requested.
Each family will receive two cards but you are more than welcome to ask for more.
Campers in our Pathfinders, Trailblazer, and Trailbreaker programs, are allowed to walk or bike home without an adult, or if they are 11+ years old and pool members they may be dismissed to the pool. If you plan to have your camper self-dismiss, we must have their dismissal plan in writing from you before the start of their camp session. Campers will not be allowed to self-dismiss without written permission (email is fine) and you will be called to come pick them up.
Children still at camp after 3:15 pm will be placed in our Extended Day Program and a fee will be charged. If you need to pick your child up before 3:00 pm, please make arrangements with the Camp Directors in advance by emailing them at directors@lincolnsummercamp.com.
