Week of July 6th
Monday, July 6th – Egg Drop and Submarine Competition
Come join in on a mission to keep an egg ‘person’ and a cotton swab ‘person’ safe from peril! Campers and families will work to design and construct a protective container to keep an egg from cracking when dropped from a great height. They will then move onto designing a submarine that will protect their cotton swab and test it in deep water. Participants will compete against each other to see who can pass these tests and keep their ‘people’ safe!
Notes about social distancing: Each individual or group of participants will be given their own materials to construct their devices and sit at socially distant tables.

Tuesday, July 7th – Mini Color War
Our traditional color war competition gets a new twist this summer in a mini version. With your family or some peers, join us for some friendly competition as we race through some favorites like the sponge and broken cup relay. Test your strength in a tug-of-war competition and your endurance in an obstacle course. Work with your teammates during a water balloon toss and cheer them on in an egg spoon race. Mini-Color-War-Champions will be named throughout the day!
A note about social distancing: Individual markers and lanes will be set up to space out different families and individuals during all competitions. Participants will have their own supplies.

Wednesday, July 8th – Kiddie-Pool Kickball
At Kiddie-Pool Kickball the classic baseball diamond is replaced by slip and slides, and the bases are replaced by, you guessed it, kiddie pools! Come blast a beach ball as far as you can as you make your way around the bases while trying to keep your balance and avoid getting tagged out!
A note about social distancing: For the individual sign up sessions campers will play the field in socially distant zones and will wait in socially distant lines when “batting.”

Monday, July 13th – Kindness Rock Painting + Tie Dye
Want to spread a kind message to the world? Create an amazing design that will make someone smile? Create your own custom rock painting using acrylic paints and sealant. Add your custom designs to display at the Codman Pool Kindness Garden. As your creation dries, bring in a white shirt and see what amazing designs you can customize in making your own tie-dye shirt!

Tuesday, July 14th – Olympic Tryouts
Ever think you were good enough to perform in the Olympic Games? Well test that out at our Lincoln Summer Camp Olympic Tryouts! From a javelin (pool noodle) throw to a long jump competition, we will see who has the strength and will to win our first ever LSC Olympics! Other events will include a 100-meter dash, discus (frisbee) throw, a basketball free throw competition, a hockey shootout, and more!

Wednesday, July 15th – Water Balloon Pony Express
At Water Balloon Pony express a giant slip and slide will form the express lane that participants will attempt to travel down without getting hit by water balloons flying in at them from all sides. If they make it to the end untouched, it’s a point. Whoever has the most points at the end it the Pony Express Champion!

Thursday, July 16th – Double Dare
Get your team together and come on down for a game of Double Dare. In this classic game show, two teams compete answering trivia questions. If you don’t know the answer you can dare the other team to answer it, but watch out they can send the question back to you with a double dare. If you still don’t know it you can select a physical challenge. These often zany tasks put participants on the clock to complete the challenge before time runs out and the points go to the other team. Come test your knowledge and skills!

Monday, July 20th – S’mores Solar Ovens
Take advantage of the summer heat to make a sweet treat! Campers and families will work to construct their very own solar oven to cook s’mores. Using a variety of simple, everyday materials, they will construct a working oven that utilizes the heat and humidity to cook a perfectly gooey s’more. Participants also get to take home their construction to make s’mores for everyone!

Tuesday, July 21st – Disc Golf
Have you ever wanted to mix frisbees and golf? Well this is your chance! Throughout the campus, a disc golf course will be set up where participants will take turns throwing their frisbee at the “hole.” Scoring works just like golf – you want to get from the start to the hole in the least number of throws. Come and get in on the fun!
A note about social distancing: Individuals will have their own frisbees and there will be spacing markers for lines while each person throws their frisbee.

Wednesday, July 22nd – Water Blaster Battle
Water Blaster Battles are camp favorites at Lincoln Summer Camp. Each participant is supplied with their own blaster and plenty of refill stations across the playing area. Each participant is also given an Alka-seltzer tablet necklace to wear that the other players are trying to dissolve. Who can keep their tablet dry the longest? Come play and find out!
A note about social distancing: For the individual sign up sessions campers will be positioned in a socially distant circle. Each player will have their own refill bucket. The goal of the game remains the same there is just less running around and more dodging, ducking, and keeping your eyes alert for water coming at any angle.

Create your very own graffiti name brand! Each participant will design and construct their own graffiti letters. Learn how to design your own graffiti letters and create a tag for your name. Each graffiti letter will pop with a unique spray painted wooden background. You choose the design and colors. Everyone will be in awe of your expertise when you take your creation home to display.

Tuesday, July 28th – Soccer Golf
What would you do if you wanted to play golf, but had no clubs or golf balls? Well, break out a soccer ball and some hula hoops of course and get in on some soccer golf! Participants will practice their soccer accuracy and power as they kick their ball towards and eventually into hula hoop “holes.” Scoring works just like golf – you want to get from the start to the hole in the least number of kicks. Can you get a hole in one?

Monday, August 3rd – Marshmallow Tower Competition
Who will be the marshmallow building champion? In this activity, participants will work to make the tallest, most stable mini marshmallow-toothpick structure. Then they will take on the classic marshmallow challenge to create a free standing structure that holds a jumbo marshmallow at the top using only spaghetti, string, and tape. Come compete in these marshmallow construction competitions!

Tuesday, August 4th – Pickleball
What if you stood on a ping pong table and tried to play? That would probably turn out poorly. But, if instead you took ping pong outside and made the table much larger, you’d have Pickleball! Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. Join us for some pickleball fun!

Monday, August 10th -Slime + Kinetic Sand
There is nothing better than making a custom slime creation. Campers and families will get the opportunity to make and customize their own slime creation. They will also get the opportunity to create a unique material of kinetic sand, the magic sand that will let you pull it, shape it, and mold it into any creation. Afterwards, participants will work to make the best mini-sand castle they can design and get to take their creations home!
