Camp Director – Sarah Costa
Sarah is a third grade teacher in Belmont, Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelors of Science dual degree in Elementary and Special Education from Boston University. She also has a Masters of Education in Educational Technology as well as a Certificate of Advanced Professional Studies in the Teaching of Mathematics from Lesley University. Outside of teaching, Sarah enjoys baking, reading, and roller coasters. This will be her 7th summer at Lincoln Summer Camp.
Camp Director- Joe Colombo
Joe Colombo is a third grade teacher at Lincoln School. He holds a Bachelors of Science dual degree in Elementary and Special Education from Boston University. He also has a Masters of Education in Educational Technology as well as a Certificate of Advanced Professional Studies in the Teaching of Mathematics from Lesley University. Outside of teaching, Joe enjoys woodworking, ice hockey, and car karaoke. He has worked at summer camps for the past 14 years and this will be his 4th year at Lincoln Summer Camp.
Camp Director – Audrey Levin
Audrey is a first grade teacher in Lowell, Massachusetts. She holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education as well as bachelors of arts in history from Umass Amherst. She has been at camp for 10 years, and was the Arts and Crafts Specialist before becoming a program director. In her free time she enjoys dancing, watching Boston sports and doing arts and crafts.
Extended Day Director – Elissa DeNunzio
Music and Drama Specialist- Erin Dotson
Erin is a 5th Grade teacher at Hanscom Middle School. She holds a masters degree in Elementary Education and Reading from Lesley University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Lawrence University. This is her 3rd year at Lincoln Summer Camp. She enjoys teaching, hiking, reading, playing board games, baseball, and singing loudly in the car.
STEM Specialist- Andrea Caprio
Andrea recently graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Education, working towards her licensure as a Math Teacher. This will be her 2nd summer at Lincoln Summer Camp, as the STEM Specialist. In her free time, Andrea enjoys puzzles & board games, being outdoors, hiking, and playing sports.
Epic Adventures Specialist- Riley McCabe
Riley is a current second year at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. He is on track for a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Diplomacy and World affairs. This will be his 13th summer at Lincoln Summer Camp, and 4th year as a staff member. Outside of school, Riley enjoys playing soccer, drawing, and going to the beach.
Arts and Crafts Specialist- Taylor Sussman
Taylor is a rising sophomore at Salem State University. This will be her 4th summer working for Lincoln Summer Camp. Taylor has attended LSC since the 3rd grade and is proud to be part of the camp staff again this summer! Her favorite activities at camp include the camp show, color wars, and field trips. She loves helping campers step outside of their comfort zones
and be creative during arts and crafts. Taylor enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching funny movies, and going to New England Revolution soccer games with her brothers. Her experience includes: working at the Lincoln Extended-day Activities Program (LEAP) for the past 2 years and babysitting for many families throughout Lincoln.
Sports and Games Specialist- Nick Virkler
Nick is a rising junior at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts and is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He has spent his summers at Lincoln Summer Camp since the second grade has worked as a counselor for 5 years. When he’s not at school or working at camp, Nick enjoys running, playing soccer, playing the guitar, and watching the Patriots win the Superbowl.
Pioneers Head Counselor-Sophia Karr
Sophia is going to be a sophomore next year at Mount Holyoke College. She is very excited to be returning to Lincoln Summer Camp for her 2nd year. If you are looking to have a conversation about philosophy she is usually around to talk about anything. She really loves music and dancing. She makes a lot of puns and is always looking for a laugh.
Pioneers Head Counselor-Nick Chin
Nicholas Chin is a junior student attending University of Massachusetts Amherst, working towards an English major and IT minor. This will be his 3rd year working at Lincoln Summer Camp and he is very thrilled to come back for another exciting year. He has been attending this camp as a camper for years, and his favorite camp activities are Lincoln Live and Color Wars. He loves making bad jokes and talking about games, movies, and any activities going on at camp.
Ramblers Head Counselor- Jennie Segal
Jennie teaches middle school and preschool music in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. She holds a degree in Music Education from Gordon College. She is super excited to be back for her 2nd summer at Lincoln Summer Camp. Some of Jennie’s favorite camp activities include color wars, Lincoln Live, and the end-of-summer showcase. Some of her favorite outside-of-camp activities include singing, playing music, and teaching music.
Ramblers Head Counselor- Lucy Hughes
Lucy will be a freshman at University of Massachusetts Amherst next fall. This will be her 2nd summer working at Lincoln Summer Camp. Lucy loves to go on long runs, hang out with friends, sing and travel. Her all time favorite place is the beach.
Crusaders Head Counselor- Griffin Budd
Griffin will be entering his third year of College next fall and is currently taking classes at Middlesex Community College. Griffin works at LEAP, Lincoln’s after school program, during the school year. Say HEY if you see him! This is Griffin’s second year at camp and is looking forward to being a Crusader Head Counselor. Griffin loves hanging out with his friends, going to the beach, and basketball.
Trailblazers Counselor- Avery Serven
Avery is a rising sophomore at Boston University studying Communication Studies. This is Avery’s third summer as a camp counselor. In her free time, she loves playing ultimate frisbee, volunteering, working as a tour guide for BU, and baking. She is stoked for her first summer at Lincoln Summer Camp!
