Camp Director – Sarah Costa
Sarah is a second grade teacher in Belmont, Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelors of Science dual degree in Elementary and Special Education from Boston University. She also has a Masters of Education in Educational Technology as well as a Certificate of Advanced Professional Studies in the Teaching of Mathematics from Lesley University. Outside of teaching, Sarah enjoys baking, reading, and roller coasters. This will be her 6th summer at Lincoln Summer Camp.
Camp Director- Joe Colombo
Joe Colombo is a third grade teacher at Lincoln School. He holds a Bachelors of Science dual degree in Elementary and Special Education from Boston University. He also has a Masters of Education in Educational Technology as well as a Certificate of Advanced Professional Studies in the Teaching of Mathematics from Lesley University. Outside of teaching, Joe enjoys woodworking, ice hockey, and car karaoke. He has worked at summer camps for the past 12 years and this will be his 3rd year at Lincoln Summer Camp.
Camp Director – Audrey Levin
Audrey is a first grade teacher in Lowell, Massachusetts. She holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education as well as bachelors of arts in history from Umass Amherst. She has been at camp for 9 years, and was the Arts and Crafts Specialist before becoming a program director last year. In her free time she enjoys dancing, watching Boston sports and doing arts and crafts.
Extended Day Director- Nick Stephenson
Nick directs the Extended Day program at camp as well as many of our special events. During the school year Nick is a special education teacher in Sudbury. In his free time he enjoys dressing up as robots, telling jokes and has an unusual talent for picking awesome t-shirt colors.
Music and Drama Specialist- Erin Dotson
Erin is a 5th Grade teacher at Hanscom Middle School. She holds a masters degree in Elementary Education and Reading from Lesley University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Lawrence University. This is her second year at Lincoln Summer Camp. She enjoys teaching, hiking, reading, playing board games, baseball, and singing loudly in the car.
Archery and Story Specialist- Alicia Russo
Alicia is a teacher at Harvard Business School’s early education center. She holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Psychology from Framingham State University. This will be her 16th summer spent at Lincoln Summer Camp and her 6th year as a staff member. Alicia enjoys being outdoors, listening to audio books and writing poetry.
Arts and Crafts Specialist- Marissa DeAmicis
Marisa is a Special Education tutor at the Lincoln Smith and Brooks school. She holds a Bachelors of Arts dual degree in English and Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Outside of teaching, Marisa enjoys playing the piano, painting, and going on hikes. This will be her first summer working as the Arts and Crafts Specialist for the Lincoln Summer Camp.
Sports and Games Specialist- Kellie Newman
Kellie is a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts dual degree in History and Archaeology. Kellie has previously worked four summers at an overnight camp where she was part of the ropes course instruction team, in addition to teaching swim and archery. This is her first summer at Lincoln Summer Camp as the Sports and Games Specialist. During her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, and watching historical dramas.
STEM Specialist- Andrea Caprio
Andrea recently graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. This upcoming fall she will begin her Masters of Education program, working towards her licensure as a Math Teacher. This will be her first summer at Lincoln Summer Camp, and she will work as the STEM Specialist. In her free time, Andrea enjoys puzzles & board games, being outdoors, hiking, and playing sports.
Epic Adventures Specialist- Riley McCabe
Riley is a current first year at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. He is on track for a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Diplomacy and World affairs. This will be his 12th summer at Lincoln Summer Day Camp, and 3rd year as a staff member. Outside of school, Riley enjoys playing soccer, drawing, and going to the beach.
Pioneers Head Counselor- Taylor Sussman
Taylor has recently graduated from Lincoln Sudbury and will be attending Salem State University in the fall. This will be her 3rd summer working for Lincoln Summer Camp. Taylor attended LSC as a child and is proud to be part of the camp staff again this summer! Her favorite activities at camp include the camp show, color wars, and field trips. Taylor loves spending time with friends and family, watching corny Lifetime movies, as well as singing and acting. Her experience includes: working at the Lincoln Extended-day Activities Program (LEAP) for the past 2 years and babysitting for many families throughout Lincoln.
Pioneers Head Counselor- Emily Barga
Emily is a recent graduate of Bedford High School. She plans to go to Colorado College in the fall for kinesiology and gender studies. This will be her first summer at Lincoln Summer Camp, where she will work as a Head Counselor. In her free time, Emily loves rock climbing, obstacle racing, painting, and reading.
Pioneers Head Counselor-Sophia Karr
Sophia is a going to be a freshman next year at Mount Holyoke College. She is very excited to be working at the Lincoln summer camp for the first time. If you are looking to have a conversation about philosophy she is usually around to talk about anything. She really loves music and dancing. She makes a lot of puns and is always looking for a laugh.
Ramblers Head Counselor-Jessie Julian
Jessie is a recent graduate of Lincoln Sudbury and will be attending Oberlin College in the fall. This will be her 11th year at camp and her 2nd year as a staff member. She also worked at LEAP this past year and volunteered at a (Spanish) bilingual elementary school. Outside of school, Jessie loves music, movies, animals, and spending time with her friends and family.
Ramblers Head Counselor- Caroline James
Caroline graduated recently from Lincoln Sudbury, and will begin at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in October to major in visual communications. She is thrilled to be working her first year as a head counselor at Lincoln Summer Camp. Caroline is passionate about art, music, fashion, and language. She has worked as a counselor in the past at Days in the Arts through the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She is excited for this opportunity, and waiting anxiously for camp to begin!
Crusaders Head Counselor- Nick Virkler
Nick is a rising sophomore at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts and is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He has spent his summers at Lincoln Summer Camp since the second grade has worked as a counselor for four years. When he’s not at school or working at camp, Nick enjoys running, playing soccer, playing the guitar, and watching the Patriots win the Superbowl.
Crusaders Head Counselor- Josh Bell
Josh is a 7th grade Geography teacher in Norwood, MA. Josh went to University of Vermont (Go Cats, Go!) where he received his Bachelors of Science in Social Studies Education. Josh went on to get his Masters of Education from Cambridge College a few years later. Josh is new to Lincoln Summer Camp. Outside of work, Josh enjoys reading, seeing friends, avoiding cooking, and clearly loves to go bumper-boating.
